Working to the architect’s vision of achieving space for inner city living. We worked hand in hand with the architect helping him understand the manufacturing parameters of the Schuco System which enabled him to design the space around the capabilities of the bespoke bi-folding door. Access also had to be considered when specifying the components. The contemporary lanterns were fabricated and site assembled and provide an excellent source of natural light.

The bespoke glazing components, which consisted of Schuco systems bi-folding doors, frames and our own box section lanterns, glazed using Saint-Gobain Planitherm 4s combined with Bio-clean coolite st totalled £35,000. The glass was specified due to its excellent thermal properties in terms of retaining heat whilst reflecting solar gain, for obvious reasons, the self-cleaning nature of the glass was essential, trying to find a window cleaner to work on a flat roof 12 stories up can prove difficult!
