SASH WINDOWS
The modern-day version of the classic Box Sash Window otherwise known as the double hung sliding sash has become fashionable again. Our heritage range of hardwood Box Sash Windows, use cords, weights and pulleys to counter balance the sashes in the traditional way with the weights housed in a ‘box’ created by the internal and external liners over sailing the frame on each side.
Our classical Box Sash window uses more modern-day manufacturing techniques and components. We can manufacture sliding sash windows in a wide range of shapes and sizes, with frames available up to 3m high, and with up to three sashes in the width of a single frame.
We can also design and manufacture feature windows with curved heads and a wide variety of curved and special glazing bar designs. Whether matching or replacing existing windows or looking for something to set your new-build apart, we are confident that we can provide a solution to meet the client’s requirements.
Pulleys & Cords
The traditional box sash window has been around since the 17th century and amazingly the cord and lead weight sash balance design, remains largely unchanged.
Spiral Balanced
Spiral hung sash windows are a more modern development, using more cost effective sash balancing components and quicker fabrication techniques.
